One twenty-four hours in that location is a break-in in the shop at a lower place their apartment, and John tries to stop the burglars from stealing anything. The burglars attack John, and repudiate him confine in the shop, which they set fire to. Laura now has the survival of the fittest to every help John and stay invisible or emerge him to die and finally have a bearing of her own. She chooses to leave him behind and walks away. In the very end, the shop explodes and John dies. The deed refers to the feeling of being invisible, which Laura has felt for a presbyopic time.
